About Short Panel

Short panel is the most common garage door in the Chicago area and the safest choice if you want the door to look like it belongs. The raised panels are arranged four across each section, which reads as traditional without being fussy, and it works on everything from a bungalow to a newer colonial.

It is also the family we stock most deeply — every width from 6 to 18 feet, in more finishes than any other style. That matters when a door needs replacing quickly rather than in four weeks.

Available non-insulated, vinyl-backed, or fully insulated. If the garage is attached to the house or you use it as a workshop, the fully insulated version is worth the difference; a vinyl back is the sensible middle ground for a detached garage.

We hold 6', 8', 9', 10', 12', 14', 15', 16', 17', 18' in stock (7 ft and 8 ft heights). Any other size or finish is a special order — the technician confirms the real lead time at the measure rather than guessing.
