Then the opener side: travel limits, force settings, the auto-reverse test, photo eyes aligned and mounted low, and the release cord hanging at a height an adult can reach without fetching a ladder.
Timing It Around the Salt
Late autumn is the useful slot in this village. It gets fresh lubricant on before the cold stiffens everything, catches worn parts ahead of the season that actually breaks them, and puts eyes on the bottom seal before slush starts pooling against it.
