Spring tension adjusted, cables checked along their length and at the drums, track brackets tightened, hinges and end stiles checked for elongated holes, every roller spun, photo-eyes aligned, opener travel and force limits reset, and the right lubricant put on the right points.
What Gets Tightened, and What Must Never Be
Loose lag bolts in track brackets and loose hinge screws are normal on a door that has run for years, and tightening them is routine. Two fasteners are not routine. The bottom bracket holds the lift cable under full spring tension and is not something to check with a spanner. The set screws on the spring cones are the other.
That line is worth knowing even if you never touch the work yourself, because it is exactly where homeowner maintenance stops and the part that needs winding bars begins.
