Frozen to the Slab, and What Not to Do About It
A door iced to the concrete is not a broken door yet. It becomes one the moment the opener is asked to break the ice for you. The motor pulls, the bottom stays stuck, and the slack has to go somewhere: cables jumping their drums, a cracked bottom section, or the top panel torn away from the operator arm.
Clear the ice along the strip, warm the seal if you can, and only lift by hand once you are sure the door is free. If it will not move easily, stop and leave it. Ice takes minutes to deal with. A torn section takes a part.

Keep away from the wall control. A door in that state is resting on hardware that is already deformed, and another cycle spreads the damage into the track, the shaft and the opener carriage. Leave it standing where it stopped, and if the car is drivable, move it clear.
The door will not open and my car is inside. Is that an emergency?
It is if you need the car today. The bigger hazard is the heaving that follows, though. A door whose spring has gone is carrying its full dead weight, and forcing it is what adds a cable off its drum and a twisted section to the list of things needing attention.
