Safety Checks on Older Evanston Doors and Rentals

Springs are read for gaps, pitting and, on an extension system, whether a containment cable is present at all. Track for spread at the top curve and for fasteners backing out of old brick. Hinges for holes worn oval. Weatherstrip and the slab edge. And the bottom brackets themselves, which sit under full cable tension and are the part of a garage door most likely to injure somebody who takes a wrench to them.
