Builder packages come with the cheapest rollers that meet spec: plain steel wheels on a plain stem, or plastic with no bearing in them at all. They are fine for a few thousand cycles. Then the stem wears oval, the wheel stops spinning and starts skidding along the channel, and every trip up and down nudges the track out of true. The noise shows up first, the misalignment second.

The curve given the closest look of all. A shallow dent in the flat face can be dressed out and the section re-anchored, but a crease across the channel or a split seam is replaced, because steel folded once will fold again in the same place.
When the Door Has Already Come Off
Do not try to drive it back with the opener. Whatever is still holding the door is all that is holding it, and running the motor bends more steel and can pull a cable off its drum. Take the opener out of the picture with the release cord if you can get to it from solid footing, then walk away from the door and book the call. If there is a vehicle underneath, only move it where that can be done without anyone passing beneath the door.
Putting one back on happens in order. Sections are supported, tension is taken out where it needs to come out, rollers are fed back into the channel from the bottom up, and the counterbalance, cables and drums are all checked before the door runs again. Fixings go into solid framing with shims where an opening has moved, so the alignment holds rather than lasting until the next windy week.

Are nylon rollers genuinely better, or is that an upsell?
The real difference is the bearing, not the material. A sealed-bearing roller keeps grit out and keeps turning, which is what stops the track being levered around. Sealed steel rollers work well too.
