How long does a custom door take to arrive?
Longer than a stock door, and how much longer depends on the material and finish. Painted steel with a standard window is the quickest custom route. Stained wood, a non-standard size or a specialty color takes more lead time. We give you the realistic date at order.
Will a custom door work with my existing opener?
Only if the weight is comparable. Swapping a stock uninsulated door for a heavy insulated or solid wood one changes the load completely, which means new springs at minimum and sometimes a stronger opener. That gets worked out at the measure.
My townhome association controls the exterior. Can you work within that?
